dronebomb me (2018)
a critical approach towards the future provides space for (re)emerging fundamentally human emotions such as fear of death, oppression by the unfamiliar and uncanny as well as the longing for physical and mental resolution.
„dronebomb me“ deals with an apocalyptical vision of the future referring to the digital age we’re now experiencing. It is an attempt to visualize a feeling of faint towards steadily advancing technologies and the prospect of autonomic machines.
Initial point and – simultaneously – symbol for the project is the drone itself, more specifically the current drone technologies: the controversy over drones being used as playful gimmicks and as deadly weapons, as well as the possibility to induce a „programmed“ death – the death through the machine.
